2021 Coolest Thing Made In Kansas Voting

The 2021 Coolest Thing Made In Kansas reached its final four products!

Presented by BKD CPAs & Advisors, the Kansas Manufacturing Council’s 2021 Coolest Thing Made in Kansas competition highlighted our state’s great manufacturing industry.

Thirty-two products competed in head-to-head match-ups for votes. The products that received the most votes in each match-up advanced to the next round, moving one step closer to winning the ultimate prize – being named the “2021 Coolest Thing Made in Kansas.”

The product with the most votes during the contest’s last round of voting was named “2021 Coolest Thing Made In Kansas” at the 2021 Kansas Manufacturing Summit on October 12th.

Frontiersman 30, Made by Yoder Smokers, Hutchinson

Custom built by Yoder Smokers in Hutchinson, KS, the Frontiersman 30 offset smoker is intended to help grillmasters forge a new path; maybe turning a hobby into a career such as competitive cooking, event catering, mobile concessions or even a restaurant.

Metal Prints & Wood Prints, Made by Mpix, Pittsburg

 At the MPix lab in Pittsburg, KS, they print images on a variety of substrates and products. Two of the coolest (and most popular with customers) are Metal Prints and Wood Prints.

Pies, Made by Hometown Pie Company, New Strawn

The Hometown Pie Company team makes pies from scratch in small batches, hand-filled, scaled to their specific weight, packaged, and frozen for wholesale distribution. 

VOLTAR 2.0 Solar UPS by ESPi Corporation, Clay Center

The VOLTAR 2.0 Solar UPS is engineered, designed and manufactured in Clay Center, Kansas. It uses solar power to provide uninterrupted off-grid power for telecommunication equipment, wifi, surveillance cameras, and other wireless equipment.
