Entertainer Coach Conversions

Village Coachworks

Wichita-based Village Coachworks converts motorcoaches into luxury sleeper buses for touring artists. Each build includes custom interiors, A/V, kitchen, and beds, requiring 2,800-man hours and 4.5 miles of wiring to serve entertainers across North America.

Product Description

Entertainers travel the country on tour to perform at a wide variety of theaters and arenas. The vast majority of these groups utilize motorcoaches equipped with beds and lounges to travel from city to city – generally at night. These motorcoaches do not come from the coach factory ready to hit the road – the interior must undergo a conversion that includes not only the beds and lounges, but also A/V systems, a restroom, cooking galley, and various storage for clothing and food. It is an intense process that usually takes about 3 months and 2,800 man hours and 4 1/2 miles of electrical wiring! The vast majority of entertainer coaches on the road are not owned by the artists – they are leased from operating companies such as Village Coach, based in Wichita. Village Coachworks is the manufacturing arm that produces these coaches to be placed into service where they travel the U.S. and Canada from coast to coast multiple times each year.

Why does product deserve title of CTMIK?

Nashville is essentially the entertainer coach capital of the country. We bought a Nashville-based entertainer coach operator and moved it to Wichita in 2018. We proved that we could be successful here in Kansas and then two years ago began to do our own conversions rather than rely on another Nashville company to do them for us. That fact that entertainer coaches built in Kansas, operated by a Kansas company, are traveling the country with well-known musical acts, comedians and theater productions make this one of “the coolest things made in Kansas.”
